PROJECT GOALS

If young tourists on a budget is your target market you know you need a good online presence and it's easy for such a small accommodation to find itself at the mercy of the likes of Booking or Expedia. Enter Fisheyes with a winning formula of low initial outlay, low commission and a powerful online marketing engine - a family of well over 1000 Italian accommodations.

FISHEYES AND HOTEL RIO MILAN

Keeping it real was the mantra at every stage of the project, which began with a content-packed website in nine languages that was constructed in keeping with the hotel's budget and still reflected its personality. Demand Prediction, social media, member discount programme and high quality online video all combined with the Fisheyes portals to put this low-cost gem on the online map.

RESULTS

Hotel Rio Milan has control over its own room sales, prices and products offered right across the board thanks to the freedom afforded by its collaboration with Fisheyes. This atmospheric hotel continues to prosper while the management make the most of the fruits of consultancy from Fisheyes.

SUMMARY

Since 2010 Hotel Rio and Fisheyes have enjoyed a relationship that has gone from strength to strength, proving yet again that even a small accommodation in a major city swamped with competition need not be held to ransom by the major OTAs and wholesalers.
