Frequently Asked Questions about Online Booking
1. I have just booked a room, when will
I receive my confirmation?
If your reservation is complete you will get an instant confirmation
to your screen. Your reservation is now confirmed. Take a note of the
reservation number, or print the confirmation page. You should receive
an email confirmation within few seconds.
2. I have not received my confirmation what should I do?
Firstly, make sure you are checking the correct email account
and have looked in all of your junk, bulk, trash and spam and deleted
items folders. It is possible that your email provider may be blocking
our emails. Some email providers and ISPs have implemented "spam
filters" which we have found are often badly designed or misconfigured.
If you are using a free email account (like Hotmail and Yahoo), make
sure you have not exceeded your mailbox storage limit. Network problems
between ISPs can delay email transmission, sometimes for many hours.
If you have done all this, please email
us with the reference number of your reservation, or at least the
details of your reservation and we will investigate the matter.
3. Are the rates the best on the internet?
As you are booking the room directly with the hotel there are
no travel agents or tour operators to pay, so you should find that the
rates are the best available.
4. Is the reservation process secure?
Yes, it is absolutely safe! Our system is uses 128 bit SSL
technology, which is the safest way to send your credit card information
on the Internet. You can check this when you are inputting your information
as the padlock logo will appear at the bottom right of the booking window.
5. How do I cancel a reservation?
At the bottom of your email confirmation, there is a link to
"CANCEL THIS BOOKING", click this link and follow the instruction
to cancel your reservation.
6. How can I contact the hotel where I have booked a room?
On your confirmation email there are contact details for the
hotel. This usually includes phone number, fax number and email address.
7. I need to modify a reservation, how can I do this?
At the bottom of your email confirmation, there is a link to
"MODIFY THIS BOOKING", click this link and follow the instructions
to modify your reservation.
8. When will I be charged for the room?
You will usually be charged for your room when you check out
of the hotel.
9. Will my credit card be charged if I don't cancel and I don't show
up?
If you do not cancel and do not arrive at the hotel a non-arrival
fee will be charged against your credit card, normally equal to the
cost of the first nights accommodation.
10. How do I make special requests regarding my reservation? (i.e. -
Early check-in.)
When you are making your reservation there is an area where
you can write "additional information"
11. What will happen if I do not cancel and do not arrive at the hotel?
Unfortunately, if you fail to cancel your reservation, you
will be charged a minimum of one night's room charge and tax, billed
to the credit card supplied during the reservation process. Cancellation
policies vary by hotel, so you may also have additional liabilities
as agreed to during the reservation confirmation process. Cancellation
policies are displayed during the reservation confirmation process and
are also listed in the confirmation email you receive upon confirming
your reservation.
12. Why is a promotion not available?
Promotional rates are offered only for a limited number of
rooms each night. These rates get sold out fast. This may be the case
with your dates. If you can be flexible with your dates, we suggest
you check new dates.
13. What documentation do I need to show when I check in?
The only documentation required at check in your passport.
We recommend you print out the confirmation form as this will help the
hotel find your reservation in their database.
14. Is there a charge for booking online?
No there is no booking fee. The booking is made directly with
the hotel, and you will pay the hotel on check out. The credit card
id only used to guarantee your reservation.
15. Can I request an early check-in or late checkout?
Policies regarding early check-in and late checkout vary by hotel. Most
hotels are prepared to accept guests at 2:00 p.m. or later and request
checkout at 12 noon or earlier. Contact the hotel directly prior to
your arrival to request early check-in or late checkout.
16. Can I pay for the room with cash instead of with a credit card?
Yes you can pay with cash when you arrive at the hotel. However, in
order to make the booking we do need your credit card details to guarantee
the booking.
17. Which Credit Cards are accepted?
Most hotels accept all major credit cards, however, there are exceptions.
You can see on each hotel page a list of the credit cards that are accepted
by the hotel - this can also be found on the booking form, where your
choice of payment methods will be limited by which credit cards the
hotel accepts.
18. Weird stuff happening?
If you are experiencing difficulty viewing the site, this could be caused
by a variety of technical issues related to your browser, ISP or the
site. To help us determine the specific cause, we'll need more information
from you. Send us an email
with the details of what has happened, the type of browser ie (Internet
Explorer) and the computer system ie (Windows XP), and we will investigate
the issue.
