Background

Giampiero is an antique dealer based in the famous street of Via del Governo Vecchio, a few steps away from Piazza Navona, who in 2004 decided to convert two of his properties into elegant city-centre holiday accommodations. Having visited the Fisheyes website, Giampiero decided to get in contact and request help with the creation and design of an internet portal that would showcase his appealing properties.

Project Goals

The project’s aim consisted in creating an attractive website that would effectively inform potential clients of the high quality accommodation available so close to Piazza Navona.  The Navona Gallery Suites should show up in the search results of internet search engines which use the key words ‘Guest House’ and ‘Piazza Navona’. The target market was American, British and German visitors to Rome. Having found the desirable B&B accommodation online it would then be possible to quickly and, above all, securely reserve the room using the Navona Gallery Suites’ very own website.

Fisheyes and Navona Gallery Suites

A simple yet very efficient website was designed giving a lot of emphasis to the guest house’s ideal location in the centre of Rome. Later on in the project’s development, satellite images were added to the location page making it more informative and visually captivating. A frequently asked questions page was also added to minimise the volume of email interchange that can result from customer to hotel interactions.

Results

The project was so successful that the Navona Gallery Suites restructured another two properties that were previously used for storage, with the aim of creating more stylish guest house accommodation. The popular and very influential website portal TripAdvisor has impressively positioned the Navona Gallery Suites in the top 5 (of 250) bed and breakfasts in Rome - not bad!

Summary

Our business collaboration was so positive that the relationship has developed into friendship and trust. So much so that Fisheyes was recommended to the sister of Giampiero who required help with the development of a website for her dentistry business!
